Bandai has provided us with a Fall 2005 update for their Teen Titans toy line! All of these are all-new and slated for release this season, so look out for them.

(click their names to get a look at each toy)

3.5-inch Action Figures
- Apprentice Robin
- Apprentice Terra

5-inch Feature Figures
- Battle Action Slade
- Master of Games

10-inch Action Figures
- Aqualad
- Speedy

T-Vehicles (for 3.5" figures)
- Rock Slider
- Hyper Skimmer
(please note the new product names and paint schemes)

Deluxe T-Vehicles (for 3.5" figures)
- T-Defense Transporter (image 2)

And last but definitely not least...

- the Teen Titans T-Robo! (ooh...shiny!)

Note: The T-Robo was unveiled in prototype form at Toy Fair 2005, and was later showcased at Comic-Con this month. Combined from the T-Car, R-Cycle, and T-Ship, this massive battle robot serves as both vehicle and playset. Apparently this awesome new toy has been recently spotted in stores, so keep a look out for it.

For images and info on these and every single Teen Titans toy from Bandai, check our Toys section (featuring purchase links for toys available through Amazon.com).

Additional notes from Bandai:

- "The T-Sub will be refreshed in 2005"
- for 3.5-inch figures: "2005 will see the introduction of many popular secondary characters and villains from the show, available for the first time in toy form." (very interesting)
- 1.5-inch figures Series 5 releases in August, and Series 6 releases in October for 2005

More T-Robo! Photos and concept drawings from the "Teen Titans Go!" crew.

"Teen Titans Go!" writer J. Torres gave us the heads up on some amazing photos he took of the T-Robo at Comic-Con this month. Give em a look at his forums.

- JTorresOnline: Pictures of the T-ROBOT

If that wasn't enough, check out the T-Robo drawings "Teen Titan Go!" artist Todd Nauck drew in preparation for its use in the TTG comic series!

- TTG Behind-the-Scenes: Todd's Titans Go Bot 5

Amazing stuff, and we all have the TTG crew to thank for. The T-Robo first appears in "Teen Titans Go!" #9 (titled "War Machine"), and will make an upcoming appearance in issue #21.

Issue #21 arrives in stores next week, and stars the T-Robo, Beast Boy as "Garsaurus Rex" (in a nod to his DCU name Garfield Logan), and Professor Chang!

New Titans in Season 5, and more
Posted by Butch on July 19, 2005 @ 3:26 am EST - Link

Due to legal concerns, we won't be providing the WB Animation panel videoclip from Comic-Con '05 as promised. But rest assured, our Con reports will be chock full of photos, detailed Titans news, and other fun stuff.

Also, here's the promotional card that was handed out at a few of the Comic-Con Teen Titans events, designed by producer/designer Glen Murakami.

(click to view at full size)

The new Titans shown are listed in full view, and hail from the original 1960s series all the way up to Teen Titans' 1990s series. Included are Red Star, Herald, Argent, Kole, Gnaark, Jericho, Pantha, Bushido, and Killowat. The others shown (such as Hot Spot and Wildebeest) are just a few among the returning characters.

In Season 5, there will also be some new characters specially created for the show. And of course, there's Kid Flash, the Doom Patrol, the Brotherhood of Evil, their legion of allies, and maybe a certain surprise or two. Stay tuned for more!

News from Comic Con; Season 4 draws to a close
Posted by Ixnay on July 16, 2005 @ 6:17 pm EST - Link

Our on-the-scene crew members just phoned this update from the TT panel at San Diego's Comic Con 2005 back into the TGN command center regarding season 5:

The Doom Patrol will be making their appearance as the original comics version. They will be adults, and act as Beast Boy's parents. Their costumes are all like Beast Boy's, so he's been in his Doom Patrol costume this entire time.

They showed a clip of Robin saying his familiar "Teen Titans Go!" at the same time the leader of the Doom Patrol (Mento) says "Doom Patrol attack!"

There's lots of interaction between the teams, fighting together and so on.

The Brotherhood of Evil will also be made up of the same characters from the comics. They were shown talking to every bad guy that has made an appearance in TT (with the exceptions of Slade, Trigon, Krall, and Blackfire). And we mean EVERY villain: Malchior (in paper form), Kardiak, Mother Mae-eye, Punk Rocket, Atlas, Control Freak, the witch from Cyborg the Barbarian, and so on. There were even a few new villains they've gotten the greenlight to do, such as Ding Dong Daddy. The villains are led by The Brain, who speaks with a stephen hawking voice and looks like a Dalek from the old Dr. Who.The clip ended with him saying that they will "Hunt down the Teen Titans one by one"

Also, from the clip they showed for JLU, it appears the two shows are going in almost identical directions. And this is with the staff of the two shows not talking at all, it just happened.

ALSO, as a special bonus for you, our crew was able to VIDEO tape the panel, which includes a reading of the first act of The End, pt 3. They're going to get it to me later tonight and we'll see if we can distribute it for you all to enjoy.

The staff was also elusive and left open the possibility for Terra making a return in season 5.

And, if that's not enough, Season 4 comes to an end tonight with the airing of The End, pt 3 in the US. Be sure to join us in the forums to talk about it and all of this news!

The Brotherhood of Evil arrives in Season 5
Posted by Butch on July 11, 2005 @ 10:08 pm EST - Link

With Season 5's DC-universe superhero team revealed by Animation Insider as none other than the Doom Patrol, that begs the question: what DC comic villains will be joining?

We at TitansGo.net have been informed that in Season 5, Beast Boy will be donning his old Doom Patrol mask once again to team up with the Doom Patrol and help defeat their long-time enemies, the Brotherhood of Evil. Rejoice!

In the DC-universe, the Brotherhood of Evil is led by Brain, a super-intellectual brain encased in life preserving fluid. By his side are Monsieur Mallah, a genetically engineered gorilla capable of speech and high intelligence, and Madame Rouge, a shape-shifter who's able to alter her body to fight foes and imitate just about any likeness. Among its history, the Brotherhood has taken on additional help such as Phobia (who is capable of turning a person's fears against them), Plasmus, and Warp.

(click on the right-hand thumbnail for larger view of the Brotherhood)

So will they and others be in this version of the Brotherhood? And how will this bode for Beast Boy, the Titans, and the DP? We'll see.

Stay tuned this week for even more Season 5 news, and check out Titans Tower's Brotherhood of Evil page for their comic background.

Bandai's Exclusive Teen Titans plans for the San Diego Comic-Con
Posted by Butch on July 8, 2005 @ 8:20 pm EST - Link

The folks at Bandai have provided us with their official plans regarding Teen Titans at San Diego Comic-Con 2005. Read on for the low-down:

"The Teen Titans Join Bandai America for a Super Hero Invasion at Comic-Con 2005

Bandai America to Host Exclusive Autograph Signing With Voice Talent Behind Hit Animated Series & Distribute Exclusive 1.5" Teen Titans Figure to Fans

Straight from Warner Bros. Animation's animated television series, the Teen Titans are swooping into the 2005 San Diego Comic-Con to join Bandai America Incorporated (booth #3713) for an exclusive autograph signing event.

Bandai America's booth will be transformed into "Teen Titans Central" on Saturday, July 16th from 4:45-6:45PM. During this time only, all fans will be given a limited edition 1.5" translucent figure of Beast Boy in mid-transformation
[click on thumbnails for a larger view]. Voice talent scheduled to appear include Ron Perlman ("Slade"), Khary Payton ("Cyborg"), Greg Cipes ("Beast Boy"), Hynden Walch ("Starfire") and Tara Strong ("Raven"). Producers David Slack and Glenn Murakami, who specially designed the exclusive autograph card for Comic-Con attendees, will also be on hand.

"Teen Titans continues to score tremendous ratings on two networks, and our toys and action figures featuring the wealth of characters from the show have been a huge hit with boys and girls of all ages," said Matt Golding, director of marketing, Bandai America Inc. "Bandai America is extremely excited to be hosting this event with the talent from the show, as well as distributing our exclusive figure, for all the Teen Titans fans expected at Comic-Con."

In addition to the signing event, Bandai America will display action figures and other products from its portfolio of popular and award-winning toy lines. Sister divisions Bandai Entertainment, a leading distributor of anime home video/DVD, Bandai Cards and Bandai Video Games will showcase their latest releases and game demos (please check booth #3713 for more information).

The Teen Titans autograph signing will take place immediately following the Warner Bros. Animation Presents: Teen Titans Live! panel on Saturday from 3:30-4:30PM in Room 6 CDEF. Based on the long-running DC Comics book series, Teen Titans stars Robin as the leader of a band of teenage super heroes that includes Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy and Raven. Chronicling their youthful adventures, Teen Titans airs weekly on Cartoon Network and Kids' WB!

Bandai America's Teen Titans toy line was introduced in 2004 and has become a major hit at retail. Capturing the unique humor featured in the show, the line includes 1.5" collectible figures, 3.5" figures, 5" feature figures, vehicles, playsets and role-play toys. In 2005, Bandai America expanded the brand into new product
categories, including 10" action figures and 6.5" "super-deformed" plush, and introduced a greater variety of characters that were never put in toy form before.

For the fall season, Bandai America's key products include the T-Robo, a three-in-one vehicle/playset that features three T-Vehicles that can transform into the Teen Titans newest ally; the Drill Diver and Claw Crawler T-Vehicles that can be combined with one another, as well as the deluxe T-Sub to form an even greater fighting force; and unique role play toys which allow kids to assume the identity of their favorite character, including Cyborg's Spy Hand for conducting surveillance missions around dark corners."

Booth signing, exclusive toy offer, multi-vehicle T-Robo toy, a Teen Titan themed booth event on Saturday, and (best of all) the company of the Titans crew. If you're attending Comic-Con, it goes without saying that you shouldn't miss what Bandai has in store.

Don't forget, "The End - Part 2" premieres this Saturday at 8:00 PM on Cartoon Network!

"The Titans are about to face their greatest challenge ever. But is there really any hope of preventing the end of the world?"

Rob Hoegee on "The End" (also: Teen Titans Comic-Con 2005 schedule revealed!)
Posted by Butch on July 2, 2005 @ 2:28 am EST - Link

Awhile back, writer Rob Hoegee dropped by for a chat with us and offered a few words about "The End" as well as Trigon:

We're definitely in for something fiercely dark, as well as a different take on everyone's favorite demon overlord. Regarding the changes and some limits with Trigon's character and design: "We could only have so many satan references. Red skin and cloven hooves was our limit."

This time around, Trigon will be sporting antlers (harkening from his comic roots) instead of typical demon's horns. "The crown was a compromise Glen [Murakami] came up with - and a great one". In a way, the compromise on Trigon's look turned out for the better, giving Trigon a unique look above your average demon overlord.

Another change for Trigon was a switch in voice actors: in "The End", Kevin Michael Richardson will be providing his voice. For anyone curious for the reason, the change "[was] not in terms of the story - we just really wanted to use Kevin for the voice. He's so awesome."

On the season's 3-part finale as a whole, "All I can say is I hope Warner Home Video releases them as a movie - it really plays as a set. I watched all five of the arc episodes together and it was amazing". Rob Hoegee is the writer for "The End - Part 2", in which we're hinted that teamwork takes on a whole new meaning. Amy Wolfram and David Slack provided writing for Parts 1 and 3 respectively.

Note: For those of you heading to the San Diego Comic-con next month, be sure to drop in and say 'Hi' to Rob. He and others will be there all week, and there will be discussion panels focusing on the show. And don't forget to tune in for "The End - Part 1" on Cartoon Network tonight, at 8:00 PM!

Speaking of the San Diego Comic-Con, the animated Teen Titans program events have finally been uncovered, thanks to The Official Tara Strong site.

The Teen Titans panel will be led by Casting Director Andrea Romano, and will feature a special screening of never-before-seen video footage for the show (our sources tell us that this footage will contain scenes from Season 5!). This panel will run on Saturday from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, located in Room 6CDEF.

The Bandai booth signing event will be from 4:30 to 6:00 PM on the same day, and will be located on the Exhibit Hall floor. Don't forget, Bandai will also be handing out exclusive Beast Boy figures (image) to attending fans.
