DC Comics "playing down" animated Titans and TTG

Two unfortunate updates, concerning animated Titans and DC Comics:
According to Dan DiDio (DC Comics Exec. Editor) at last weekend's Heroes Convention in Charlotte, "Tiny Titans is doing better than expected, and is selling more copies per issue of Teen Titans Go!". While success for the title is a good sign of young fans' Titans interest, DiDio's flat comparison of sales between it and TTG doesn't sound very positive for our beloved, recently cancelled comic series. Perhaps they're not eager to do that follow-up for "Teen Titans Go!" after all, but if later sales (like for TTG's collected books) are good, who knows?
Also, when asked if there would be a follow-up to Amy Wolfram (animated Titans story editor) and Karl Kerschl's "Fab Five" Titans mini-series, "Teen Titans: Year One":
Dan Didio: "Not really - that was a particular flavor done for that sensibility that played against the animation style, which is something that DC is trying to play down for now." (bolded for emphasis by us)
From this, the attitude of DC Comics towards the animated Teen Titans and "Teen Titans Go!" is pretty clear. Whether or not this is DC being against the animated series in general, or finding a more successful TTG replacement in "Tiny Titans", or both, remains unclear at this point.
