TT videogame storyboards: deleted scene (also: the game is now out!) Posted by Butch on May 28, 2006 @ 7:12 pm EST - Link
To celebrate the Teen Titans console videogame finally hitting stores a few days ago, Johane Matte (one of the game's artists) posted seven storyboards she had done for the game's production. The storyboard pages feature a confrontation between the Titans and Mumbo.
Unfortunately, this scene ended up being cut out of the game in its early stages. Check out Johane's blog for a look at this deleted scene (and take a look at her other neat artwork while you're at it)!
At long last! The Teen Titans console game is now available, put out by its new publisher, THQ!
If you haven't already, order your copy at our new Video Games section, which also includes games info, box art, and links to game reviews.
Note: it seems only the PS2 and Gamecube versions of the game are out. An Xbox version has yet to be released.

We've added three new pieces of Teen Titans production artwork to our Official Artwork gallery! They are comic-styled designs used as scenes in episode "Fractured", during Larry's explanation of how he squeezed into the Titans' dimension through Robin's head. All three pages were drawn by the great Derrick Wyatt, Teen Titans character designer.
(for these and much more Teen Titans series production artwork, visit our Official Artwork gallery, which is regularly updated)
These show designs were added to go with Derrick's latest blog entry, which includes the first Larry page. Also check out his freshly hatched version of Marvel's Gamecock character (yes, you heard right). He has nothing to do with Teen Titans, but is cool and worth checking out anyway.

Some more details to add to the "Legion of Super Heroes" mix, in case anyone missed it. Comics Continuum has provided a fuller look at TV Guide's Legion press image (now revealing Bouncing Boy in bounce mode). Legion producer James Tucker also offers some words:
"Artistically, the style of the show falls somewhere between Superman: The animated series and Clone Wars. It's definitely not anime-based at all." On Legion villains: "It's safe to say that the Fatal Five will be showing up several times, as well as a few other well known Legion foes."
Perhaps we'll see the wizard Mordru, Time Trapper, and others? Stay tuned. For the full feature, click here.

We've added three new prop designs used in production of Teen Titans to our Official Artwork gallery! The new additions are Cyborg-themed, and include: a very early concept drawing for Cyborg's Sonic Cannon, Fixit's robots (as seen in "Sum of His Parts"), and the rocket boosters Cyborg designed especially for space-travelling in the T-Ship. These were all designed by the great Teen Titans prop designer Norm Ryang.

TT console game put on hold? (also: First official look at Legion! & more) Posted by Butch on May 4, 2006 @ 5:37 am EST - Link
We have big news regarding the Teen Titans console game (for Xbox, PS2 & Gamecube), which now seems to have been put on hold indefinitely. TitansGo.net forum member "Speedfreak" wrote to publisher Majesco, and received this response:
"Thank you for your inquiry. We have not been able to release the details of this title as we have been in negotiations to transfer this title to another publisher. We will not be the publisher of record for this title on PS2/XBX or GameCube. Please look for future updates with regard to the release of this title. At this time that is all we can relay." - Majesco Sales Dept.
It's now clear why the game has been "delayed" so much, as Majesco is no longer even publishing it. This also suggests there will be no given release date at all until a new publisher is confirmed. Stay tuned as more develops.
Superman Homepage provides an exclusive from TV Guide: the first press image for Legion of Super Heroes, showing (in order): characters Phantom Girl, Brainiac 5, Saturn Girl, Superboy, Lightning Lad, and Timberwolf!
This image, along with further info, will appear in the May 8th edition of TV Guide.
In other news, The Beat reports that "Teen Titans Go!" writer J. Torres has won the Joe Shuster Award for "Outstanding Canadian Comic Book Writer"! Awesome work J, keep it up!
