TT finally re-airing again (also: TTG #42 in stores; TTG #41 "interview" w/ artist Todd Nauck)
Posted by Butch on April 24, 2007 @ 11:57 pm EST - Link

After weeks of drought, Cartoon Network will finally be putting Teen Titans back on air for Saturdays starting next month, allowing fans to once again get their regular Titans fix. The re-airings start May 12th, from 11 AM to 12 PM noon, with "Things Change" being first up. Click here for the episode schedule run-down at Comics Continuum.

No idea if this means Teen Titans is returning to a regular airing schedule or not, so stay tuned.

"Teen Titans Go!" #42 is now available in stores today; the issue features the return of Raven's "emoticlones" as they break free and wreak havok. Head on over to our forums for fan discussion of TTG #42.

And because it can't be said enough: continue writing letters to DC Comics telling them to keep "Teen Titans Go!" going strong! It will be a huge loss if this top-selling series is cut short soon, especially when its team has so many great plans in mind for the future. Address your letters to DC's Sr. VP/Executive Editor Dan DiDio, TTG's editor Tom Palmer Jr, and "Johnny DC". Letters to Dan DiDio are great, but letters coming to him from all sides will have much more effect. And most of all, please keep your letters courteous!:

On an older note: in "Teen Titans Go!" #41 (released in March), there was an interview of sorts conducted by DC Comics' "Johnny DC", in response to a fan's written letter. Reader Mary Stefan had several questions for TTG's main artist Todd Nauck about his work on the series, which he graciously answered right in the issue's letters column!

We've scanned the interview for your viewing pleasure:

Teen Titans Season 3 DVD in stores! (also: Raven in Nickelodeon magazine?)
Posted by Butch on April 11, 2007 @ 11:54 pm EST - Link

Yesterday, the Teen Titans "Complete Third Season" DVD at last became available in stores (head to our forum for release discussion)! The 2-disc set features the entirety of Season 3, which covers Cyborg's rivalry with Brother Blood (not "Blood Brother" as he's still incorrectly named on the DVD box for some reason), the introduction of Titans East, and includes fan favorite episodes like "X", "Haunted", "Can I Keep Him?", and of course "Bunny Raven". Amazon has the DVD at a nice discount ($6 less than the $19.98 MSRP) and eligible for free shipping, so order your copy today. Every purchase you make through us helps maintain TitansGo.net's monthly costs!:

World's Finest has a review for the DVD, along with menu screens. Also, Comics Continuum put up screens of the show's production crew as seen in the DVD's "Know Your Foes" bonus feature. Interviewed in the DVD extra are producers Glen Murakami and David Slack, story editors Amy Wolfram and Rob Hoegee, and voice director Andrea Romano. A much better extra than what we got for Season 2's set ("Tokyo" trailer and a clip review), so be sure to pick this DVD up.

First a spokesperson for "Super Twinkle Donkey Gum", now "Anti-Hood-Hair shampoo"? Raven herself appears in the April 2007 issue of Nickelodeon Magazine courtesy of fictional magazine "Toon Vogue", in a single-page ad spoof for "Titanesse" shampoo. "Kaden" from the JTO Forums posted a scan of the ad, which you can see here. Thanks to "BB" for this amusing heads up!

New TTG-style Titans from Todd Nauck (also: J. Torres interviewed, TTG to retell Robin's origin)
Posted by Butch on April 6, 2007 @ 8:48 pm EST - Link

"Teen Titans Go!" main artist Todd Nauck designed several more TTG-styled versions of DC universe Teen Titan members. Click here for his gallery of Titans drawn to follow the show's style, all of whom never got the animated treatment.

The latest TTG'd Titan additions include Terra's brother Geoforce, Fearsome Five member Shimmer (Mammoth's sister), Hawkman sidekick Golden Eagle, and three members of the time-swapped "Team Titans": Redwing, Nightrider, and Mirage. All done up in Todd's awesomely dynamic "animated Titans" style; check em out!

"Teen Titans Go!" writer J. Torres was recently interviewed by ComicBloc in a pretty extensive piece. The interview covers his influences, experiences, how he got his start in the industry, his writing style and process, and more. J also dropped a nice hint about what to expect in TTG (and Legion's show-based book) in the near future:

"Currently, I’m working on a Teen Titans Go! story which retells Robin’s origin. And I just turned in Legion of Super Heroes in the 31st Century #6, which features some colorful guest heroes and stars a cosmic villain."

With the "Teen Titans Go!" series in danger of cancellation, let's hope J's retelling of Robin's origin makes the cut at all (as well as his other big plans). All the more reason to rally for support and help save TTG! Write your letters of support to DC Comics' Sr. VP/Executive Editor Dan DiDio, as well as TTG's editor Tom Palmer Jr (and please be civil):

Emails are good, but written letters really get attention. Comic publishers are also fairly open to fan opinions, so let the message be heard: we all want "Teen Titans Go!" around for a long time to come!
