Click here for the DVD's official description, cover art (again with the stock art?), and more.

The "Teen Titans: The Complete Fifth Season" DVD will be released on July 22nd, 2008, with the retail price of $19.98. In addition to having all Teen Titans Season 5 episodes on two discs, it will also include 20 minutes of extra "top secret files" material. And even though the cover art will feature stock images once more, at least this time they didn't get the characters' names wrong.

Also releasing on the same day is "The Batman: The Complete Fifth Season", which will also be the final season set for the series.

TTG #53 preview pages and art! (also: "Tokyo" re-airing on CN)
Posted by Butch on March 24, 2008 @ 11:07 pm EST - Link

On his blog today, "Teen Titans Go!" writer J. Torres put up a 6 page preview for TTG #53, with pages from each story (it's another two-in-one issue).

J adds that the first story (with art by Joe Quinones) has a "Freaky Friday" twist for Beast Boy and Mento, while the second story (with art and co-plotting by Todd Nauck) has Kid Flash and Jinx facing off against new villains Kid Kold and Ice Kate. Kid Kold and Ice Kate character designs, if you recall, were previously put up by J. Torres right here.

Check out that preview, then pick up "Teen Titans Go!" #53 when it hits stores this week on Wednesday, March 26th...just two days away! It's gonna be another fun one.

"Teen Titans Go!" guest artist Joe Quinones also posted on his blog a 3 page artwork preview for his part in TTG #53, the story with Beast Boy on a twisted Doom Patrol adventure.

Joe also has some great renditions of the animated Titans in his own style up (Cyborg, Starfire, Robin, and Raven so far), which you can find throughout his blog. Check em out!

A TV heads up: Cartoon Network will be airing the Teen Titans movie "Trouble in Tokyo" this week on Friday, March 28th @ 10:00 AM (Eastern/Pacific timezones). It's another chance to get your Titans fix from CN and show them your support, as rare as they are these days.

New Titans comics for June '08
Posted by Butch on March 19, 2008 @ 11:57 pm EST - Link

This week DC Comics has released their comics solicits for June 2008, with an all-too noticeable gap where "Teen Titans Go!" used to be. Instead, newly slated titles include "Teen Titans: Year One" #6 (last in the mini-series), "Tiny Titans" #5, "DC Special: Raven" #4, and "DC Special: Cyborg" #2. Click below for each title's cover and details:

- DC Special: Raven #4 (in stores June 4, 2008)
- Tiny Titans #5 (in stores June 11, 2008)
- DC Special: Cyborg #2 (in stores June 18, 2008)
- Teen Titans: Year One #6 (in stores June 25, 2008)

Even though the "Teen Titans Go!" we have known and loved for the last several years has really ended, only through much fan support will we be able to see it back in a new form. Remember, the only way for us to get a possible new "Teen Titans Go!" series is by supporting its few remaining new/current issues and collected books. Writing fan letters to Johnny DC about "Teen Titans Go!" will also help alot. We need to take every chance we can get!

Tiny Titans and TT Year One continue to promise lots for fans to enjoy, but with the clear absence of "Teen Titans Go!", June's not quite due to be another great comic month for animated Titans fans.

TT Judas Contract animated movie update
Posted by Butch on March 12, 2008 @ 11:25 pm EST - Link

"Teen Titans: Judas Contract" animated movie still in the works? Newsarama received this update about the direct-to-video project from a Warner Home Video source:

"Teen Titans: Judas Contract is one of a number of stories in development within the DC Universe Animated Original Movie series. We'll be announcing future plans as titles begin production over the next few years."

It appears it's still in development, and Warner Bros has been listening to the fans. However, there are no details yet on just when it's planned for release. Let's hope the decision to keep "Judas Contract" on track is a definite thing this time! Stay tuned for more news as it comes.

TTG #53 behind-the-scenes art (also: Glen's Ben 10 next month! & Marv's Raven series)
Posted by Butch on March 8, 2008 @ 11:42 pm EST - Link

"Teen Titans Go!" writer J. Torres recently posted some behind-the-scenes character designs for this month's issue #53, by artist Todd Nauck. The characters are Kid Kold and Ice Kate, two new villains who square off against Kid Flash and Jinx in the issue. The two villains also happen to be TTG's teenaged spin on DC's Captain Cold and Golden Glider (brother and sister, as well as Flash's rogues).

To follow the siblings theme, J also included Todd's character designs for Blackfire (in her Teen Tyrants form), Geo-Force, and Wildfire. Click here to check out J's post with Todd's awesome designs, and watch for "Teen Titans Go!" #53 in stores March 26th, 2008!

Teen Titans producer Glen Murakami's new series revamp, "Ben 10: Alien Force", will premiere in April 2008. And according to recent Cartoon Network spots, a sneak preview will be shown this Sunday, March 9th, 2008 (that's tomorrow!). Many Teen Titans animated crew members are onboard the "Alien Force" crew along with Glen (who is supervising), including TT's prop designer Norm Ryang and color artist Chris Hooten. With many awesome alien designs already revealed for the new series' toyline (from this year's Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair event), as well as some cool teaser images, "Alien Force" looks to greatly improve upon the already popular Ben 10 universe. We personally can't wait. Ben 10 as envisioned by Glen Murakami? Bring on the month of April!

Check out images from Ben10toys.net for a look at Glen's new Ben and "Alien Force" character designs in both toy form and teasers.

With the first issue of "DC Special: Raven" out this Wednesday, Newsarama interviewed Marv Wolfman (Titans co-creator/writer) on his thoughts on the work. Marv discusses his intentions behind this mini-series, his hopes of introducing the audience who loved the Teen Titans animated series and its Raven to western comics, what it's like returning to write this Titan he originally created, and more.

Click here for the full interview, and check out "DC Special: Raven" #1, available in stores now. It is Marv Wolfman writing Raven's latest incarnation, so aside from eye-rolling at the cover ("in her all new EMO series!"? Huh?), this mini-series should prove nicely with Titans fans of both old and new.
