TTG Comic Give-away ends tomorrow! (and: TT "Complete First Season" DVD previews) Posted by Butch on December 31, 2005 @ 12:42 am EST - Link
A last minute reminder for all "Teen Titans Go!" readers: the end of December 31st (tomorrow) is the final deadline for our signed TTG Comic Give-away! (...not to be confused with the Holiday DVD+Comic Give-away)
For those who recall, this TTG Give-away first started in the middle of this year, and tomorrow will be your absolute last chance to enter it and win. Remember, everyone who sends a fan letter to "Teen Titans Go!" and gets as little as their name printed in a future TTG issue's letters page will automatically win the prize pack: a "Teen Titans Go!" Digest book (collects 5 TTG issues) of your choice, autographed by TTG writer J. Torres!
Note: Your letter is not required to be in a TTG letters page by the end of this year (kind of difficult, the last '05 issue shipped this week). So don't worry about rushing your letter to TTG's mail crew by tomorrow...all you need to do is post your name and what you intend to send them here by December 31st's end to be eligible. We'll award prizes into year 2006 and beyond, just as long as you've posted at that forum link by end of tomorrow.
Again, "how to enter" in 3 easy steps:
Step 1: Post your name and what you're sending here at the TitansGo.net forums, by the end of December 31st.
Step 2: Send a letter (or drawing, photo, song, etc.) to...
Teen Titans Go!
c/o DC Comics
1700 Broadway
New York, NY 10019
Step 3: Check upcoming issues of "Teen Titans Go!" to see if your name and/or letter was printed in its letters page. If so, you automatically win a signed TTG comic digest!
Read here for full Comic Give-away details. Thanks to everyone who's entered so far, and here's hoping for even more winners!

Teen Titans character designer Jon Suzuki recently added new Teen Titans art to his blog, among other things. Titans stuff includes a stylized comic page layout featuring Beast Boy (very cool!). Check out Jon's new art here:
For those who didn't catch it, The New Teen Titans co-creator and artist George Perez made a surprise appearance in this episode (seen here). Will this be the last we see of a Teen Titans comic creator in the show? Our sources say: not at all. So keep a look out, comic fans!
excerpt: - Starfire's story of being the Gordanian's captured prize for use as a Citadelian slave refers to her comic book roots in "The New Teen Titans". There, she was taken by the Gordanians (a slave-trading alien race) as a Citadel slave, as part of an agreement that would allow her homeplanet of Tamaran to live in peace. In the comics, if Starfire were to return to Tamaran, it would mean a breach of the agreement. Therefore, she stayed on Earth in exile. This is different in the show, as she is apparently free to visit her homeplanet as she pleases.

New Episode "Go" Tomorrow! Preview & screens (and: TT videogame art) Posted by Butch on December 16, 2005 @ 5:55 pm EST - Link
Finally, the highly anticipated new episode "Go" airs tomorrow Saturday at 8:00 PM (EST/PST)! This episode will feature Starfire in a bound costume, signifying her slavery under the Gordanians. In the DC universe, the Gordanians are an alien race that lives off slave-trading, and were given Starfire as a slave in exchange for a peace agreement for her homeplanet Tamaran. They've since made an animated appearance on the animated Justice League, in two-part finale "Starcrossed". The Gordanians will now make their appearance in Teen Titans.
Cartoon Network's been airing a "Go" preview, showing Starfire battling Robin while in her slave wear, and a fight with Gordanians. You can view "Go" screens and download the video here, thanks to TheUltimateNewb!:
episode description: How did Robin meet Starfire? What was Beast Boy's first joke? Why did Cyborg build his Sonic Cannon? When did Raven first call the Titans her friends? Return to the very beginning and see how it all started – from the word "GO!"
"Teen Titans Go!" writer J. Torres alerted us to some new production art posted up as a JTorresOnline.com forum exclusive. This time, it's "chibi" designs used as reference for the upcoming Teen Titans videogames (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube). Check the designs out here:
More Teen Titans production art! (and: Titans toys update) Posted by Butch on December 15, 2005 @ 1:59 pm EST - Link
Teen Titans prop designer Norm Ryang has added a bunch of new Titans production art to his blog, and they continue to amaze. Especially check out those Sonic Cannons! They really show alot more depth to Cy's cannon design than you'd see just on-screen:
(note: newly added arts are: two colored T-cars (one flamed ala "Car Trouble"), an inked Cyborg Sonic Cannon drawing, and three colored Sonic Cannons from rough to finalized stages)
Remember the new toys Bandai revealed a week ago? The ones that wouldn't be in stores until January 2006, sadly far too late for the holiday gift-giving rush?
Ty's ToyBoxcomes to the rescue, with the entire Spring 2006 Bandai toy line-up in stock, as well as Teen Titans handheld LCD games. Also included are the newly sculpted versions of 3.5-inch Raven and Starfire (freakin' finally!).
Don't worry if you notice any new toys missing (especially the 3.5" BB/new-Raven pack), since alot of them have been selling out fast. Ty's ToyBox re-orders new shipments as needed, so just keep checking back.
"Revved Up" screens & details (and: Holiday DVD + signed Comic Give-away!) Posted by Butch on December 12, 2005 @ 3:05 pm EST - Link
We've got 111 screenshots for the latest episode "Revved Up" for you to enjoy! The episode page for "Revved Up" has also been updated with notes, references, and more:
excerpt: - The bus ride villain in a pink "Gatchaman"-like costume with a bird-shaped hood (seen here) also showed up as an internet chatter in "For Real".
- In this episode, Adonis' brief appearance shows him in a new costume of white & yellow. According to a production crew member, this was done because producer Glen Murakami felt the Teen Titans crew was using the red & black scheme too much for villains, and wanted more color variety.
(check out the rest of the notes here.)
The holidays are approaching fast, and we're holding another DVD give-away (+ a bonus) to celebrate!
We're giving away a Teen Titans "Fear Itself" DVD (Season 2 vol. 1), and throwing in an autographed copy of "Teen Titans Go!" #25 (the Christmas issue) with the DVD, courtesy of TTG writer J. Torres! Four runners up will also receive an autographed copy of the comic, making a total of 5 prizes available!
Prizes: - 1st Place: Teen Titans "Fear Itself" DVD + autographed TTG #25

Robin to emerge on "The Batman" ... Cyborg to appear on "Smallville" Posted by Butch on December 11, 2005 @ 3:17 pm EST - Link
Legions of Gotham recently reported here that "The Batman" will be getting a new sidekick: Robin.
Did this decision have anything to do with Teen Titans' cancellation? It's not known for sure, but TitansGo.net was told by production sources that as soon as word of this Robin got to the crew, it was taken as a bad sign for Teen Titans. However, it also seems the crew of "The Batman" didn't ask to use Robin either, so this is very likely a Warner Bros. mandate.
Another Teen Titan in the media? Kryptonsite.com reports that Cyborg will appear on tv series "Smallville":
The hero in question this time around is Cyborg, a character who rose to popularity in the classic Marv Wolfman/George Perez New Teen Titans comics who also is features on the Cartoon Network's Teen Titans animated series. The title of the episode is, of course, "Cyborg."
"Revved Up" airing Tomorrow (Official Art sneak peeks & more) Posted by Butch on December 9, 2005 @ 3:24 pm EST - Link
New episode "Revved Up" airs Saturday tomorrow at 8:00 PM (EST/PST), and we have sneak peeks for you. But first, CartoonNetwork.com has a preview video for "Revved Up", featuring hot-rodding Ding Dong Daddy mocking Cyborg and Beast Boy in the T-Car. Check the videoclip out here:
We've been informed by a production crew source that this episode will feature some villain favorites as racers, including Red X (whose bike we showed production art for), Mad Mod, Control Freak, and one many assumed would never return...Puppet King. And that's not all, expect a few more surprise appearances.
episode description: Robin's most prized possession is stolen by the hip hot-rodder Ding Dong Daddy, and to get it back they're going to have to beat him in a cross-country road race. But with Ding Dong Daddy making the rules and a few unexpected rivals joining in the competition, it's anyone's guess who will cross the finish line first!
Here's a look at another vehicle you'll see tomorrow in "Revved Up"!
New production artwork for "Revved Up" is now in the Official Art gallery, including a vehicle for Mad Mod! Moddie will be entering his Big Ben mobile into the "Revved Up" race, and it looks great. Who wouldn't want to smash other cars up in a big old clock tower? This, and a fourth new Red X motorcycle design were created by Teen Titans prop designer Norm Ryang, check em out:
One last bit of info: expect Red X's cycle in "Revved Up" to be a bit different from the pre-final designs we've been showing since last week. Remember to check back here for screenshots and discussion after the episode airs.
New Teen Titans Toys for Spring '06! (and: "Lightspeed" screens up) Posted by Butch on December 8, 2005 @ 10:34 pm EST - Link
Bandai recently sent us a whopping 36 toy images and details for products to be released as early as January 2006. What's interesting about this lineup is the introduction of new types, alot more toys pertinent to the show and even specific episodes (finally, BB gets a B-ped toy!), and a T-Communicator "card reader" that ties into all the new toys.
Here's a run-down of what's to come (click the links for pictures and info):
- Comic Game Heroes: Set One - Set Two - Set Three (note: set 2 is based off "The End", and set 3 off "The Quest")
All have been updated into the Toys Guide. Go check it out for more toy images and details.
Finally, we've got screens for last Saturday's episode "Lightspeed" added!
"Lightspeed" details & bios (and: Season 1 DVD bonus features) Posted by Butch on December 6, 2005 @ 5:22 pm EST - Link
Due to technical problems, screens for "Lightspeed" have been delayed. We'll add them as soon as we can and let you know once we do. In the meantime, the "Lightspeed" episode details have been updated with notes and more. Character bios have also been added/updated for:
Sorry for the screens delay, check back for them soon.
TVShowsOnDVD.com recently reported the bonus features for the "Teen Titans - The Complete First Season" DVD. Not only will this release include nearly all of the bonus features presented on the "Divide & Conquer" and "Switched" DVDs (yes, including the "Comic Creations" interviews!), but it has a new behind-the-scenes featurette: "Finding Their Voices" - The Secret Information Behind the Making of Teen Titans
Could this possibly be the Glen Murakami episode commentaries ZiggyB alluded to from his WB Studio tour? We hope so! Expect this complete season DVD to be released February 7th, 2006.
Teen Titans production artist blogs! (and: official TT game site) Posted by Butch on December 2, 2005 @ 5:06 am EST - Link
Norm Ryang, prop designer for Teen Titans, recently set up an art blog! He's already put up a bunch of amazing artwork (not just props, either), including two great looking sketches of the Titans' T-Sub in its early design stages:
Teen Titans character designer Jon Suzuki's also got an art blog up here, with some cool character artwork including an awesome marker composition of the HIVE's Mammoth (who he designed for Teen Titans):
Give those a good look and let them know what you think!
Also, if you haven't seen it yet, check out the official site for the Teen Titans videogames. The site covers the upcoming console versions (PS2, Xbox, & Gamecube), and the Gameboy Advance game recently released in October. It features game trailers, screenshots, details on the games and more.
