Every purchase made through us helps keep the site going, so thanks for any support! - Pre-order the "Teen Titans: The Complete Fifth Season" DVD The Season 5 DVD will be released on July 8th, 2008; it includes all 13 episodes of Season 5 on two discs, as well as 20 minutes of "secret files" bonus material. And don't forget, how well the DVDs sell gives Cartoon Network the message that we want to see more animated Titans!  Adding to their "Teen Titans Go!" interviews, World's Finest recently put up an interview with Ethen Beavers (TTG guest artist). Ontop of being the artist for last month's TTG #54 (the Wonder Girl II paradise island story), Ethen has been a storyboarder for Justice League Unlimited, as well as an artist for its comic title.
Ethen: "It takes a little while to become competent with new styles, but after a while, you start to figure things out. for instance on Titans, I learned that Murakami's designs for the original Titans (Cyborg excluded) are actually pretty creepy from the neck down. They are very angular and thin, and they hunch a little bit. Without the heads on, the characters look a lot like zombies. In contrast, their heads are these huge, cute, Anime looking things. I never would have thought to put those heads and body types together, but the fact is they look great together! So I learn a lot with each new style and I have an opportunity to get better, and hopefully smarter, at drawing in the process." Click here to read the full interview with Ethen. |
