Description:
Something old! Something new! In this issue you get two stories -- TWO! First, a tale of times past featuring Beast Boy and the Doom Patrol. Then, Kid Flash and Jinx face off against some new foes, the brother and sister threat of Kid Kold and Ice Kate!
Notes:
The two villains in "Hot & Cold", Kid Kold and Ice Kate, are TTG's teenaged spins on DC Comics villains Captain Cold and Golden Glider. The two, like their older DCU counterparts, are also siblings as well as direct foes of the Flash family (Captain Cold and Golden Glider are members of the Flash's rogues gallery).
The "Wacky Wednesday" story's title and switched-up situation is a direct reference to the movie "Freaky Friday", in which two of the main characters accidentally get their minds and bodies switched like Beast Boy and Mento do.
In "Hot & Cold", the sign of the shop that Kid Kold and Ice Kate break into contains yet another of "Teen Titans Go!" artist Todd Nauck's numerous references to "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" (or MST3K for short).
